What data do we collect?
mYngle may collect the following types of personal data:
- Name, company name
- Email address and phone number
- Feedback and responses to surveys

- Payment, billing and invoice information

- Lesson-related information, such as lesson date, time, duration, lesson ID, course information, learner level, learning objectives and lesson platform metadata
- Where AI-supported Pedagogical Notes, lesson summaries or transcription are enabled, we may also process lesson content and related data, including spoken lesson contributions, temporary transcripts, generated Pedagogical Notes, lesson summaries, action points, vocabulary, corrections, learning observations, consent or preference status, and technical metadata related to the lesson platform.Some personal data is required to create an account, book or deliver lessons, process payments, provide customer support or comply with legal obligations. If you do not provide required data, we may not be able to provide the relevant service. Optional data, such as marketing consent, survey responses or consent to AI-supported Pedagogical Notes where applicable, may be refused without preventing access to the core service, unless the relevant feature depends on that data

You directly provide mYngle with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:
- Register online or place an order for any of our products or services.
- Create or use an account
- Book, attend or deliver a lesson
- Choose to receive AI-supported Pedagogical Notes or lesson summaries
- Complete a customer survey or provide feedback
- Communicate with us by email or contact form
- Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.
- Participate in a lesson where AI-supported Pedagogical Notes or transcription have been enabled in accordance with the applicable consent, preference and contractual requirements
- Use a third-party lesson platform, such as Zoom, Webex or Microsoft Teams, where applicable
mYngle may also receive your data indirectly from the following sources:
- Advertisement platforms like LinkedIn Ads, Facebook Ads, or Google Ads.

AI-supported Pedagogical Notes and lesson transcription
Where AI-supported Pedagogical Notes, lesson summaries or transcription are enabled, mYngle may process lesson content, including spoken lesson contributions, temporary transcripts, lesson metadata and generated notes, for the purpose of supporting learner progress, lesson continuity and course follow-up.AI-supported transcription or notes will only be used where enabled for the relevant lesson and where the required consent, preference or contractual condition has been satisfied. Learners and teachers will be informed before AI-supported transcription or notes are used. Where consent is required, consent may be refused or withdrawn at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.
If AI-supported transcription or notes are not enabled, or where required consent is not provided, mYngle will not generate AI-supported Pedagogical Notes for that lesson, unless another valid legal basis applies.
Personal data processed for AI-supported Pedagogical Notes will be used only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including generating and delivering Pedagogical Notes, learner support, lesson continuity, course follow-up, managing consent or preferences, and proportionate service quality support. We will not use this data for incompatible purposes unless we provide appropriate prior information and have a valid legal basis.
mYngle does not use AI-supported Pedagogical Notes to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on learners or teachers.
mYngle does not permit AI-supported transcription or note-generation providers to use lesson content, transcripts, Pedagogical Notes or lesson summaries to train their general AI models, unless we inform you separately and have a valid legal basis.
Users should not intentionally disclose special-category personal data during lessons unless necessary for the lesson context. Where such data is incidentally included in lesson content, we process it only for the relevant lesson-related purposes described in this Privacy Policy and subject to applicable safeguards.
Who do we share your data with ?
We may share your personal data withtrusted third parties where necessary to provide our services, operate ourbusiness, comply with legal obligations, or protect our legitimate interests. These recipients may include:
- Service providers who help us operate our website, platform, customer support, hosting and IT systems
- Payment providers and fraud prevention providers
- Email delivery and communication providers
- Video conferencing providers, such as Zoom, Webex or Microsoft Teams, where applicable
- Transcription and AI-supported note-generation providers used for lesson delivery, transcription, hosting, AI-supported processing and delivery of Pedagogical Notes, where applicable
- Learners and teachers, where notes, lesson summaries or lesson-support materials are intended to be shared with them
- Providers that support the creation and delivery of class notes or pedagogical lesson summaries, where applicable
- Professional advisers, regulators, public authorities, or law enforcement bodies wherer equired by law or where necessary to protect our legal rights
- We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties for their own marketing purposes. Where service providers process personal data on our behalf, we require them to process the data only in accordance with our instructions and applicable data protection law.
International transfers
Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, mYngle will ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable data protection law. These safeguards may include an adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, transfer impact assessments and supplementary technical, contractual or organisational measures where required.
International transfers may occur where we use service providers located outside the EEA, including providers of hosting, IT support, communications, video conferencing, transcription, AI-supported processing, analytics or customer-support services. Data retention
We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including legal, contractual, and reporting requirements. For example:
- Account-related data: retained while your account is active, unless a longer retention period is required by law or necessary for legitimate business purposes
- Financial data: retained for at least 7 years for tax compliance
- Temporary transcripts used for AI-supported Pedagogical Notes: temporary lesson transcripts are processed only for the purpose of generating AI-supported Pedagogical Notes and related learner-support materials. mYngle deletes temporary transcripts from its own systems as soon as reasonably possible after the Pedagogical Notes have been generated
- Platform-specific technical transcript retention: depending on the lesson platform, short technical retention periods may apply before deletion by the relevant platform or provider. The current expected technical retention periods are: Microsoft Teams: approximately 2 hours; Zoom: approximately 1 day; Webex: approximately 1 hour
- AI-supported Pedagogical Notes: retained in mYngle systems for 10 days and then deleted or anonymised, unless a longer retention period is required by law or necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
- Consent, preference and audit records: where consent, preference or availability records are used for AI-supported Pedagogical Notes, mYngle retains these records for as long as necessary to demonstrate compliance, manage lesson preferences, handle related questions or disputes, and meet legal or contractual requirements.
- Copies of emailed communications and related operational records: retained only as long as necessary for customerservice, legal, contractual, and reporting purposes
